• Organising national congresses, conferences, symposiums, and professional meeting;
• Participating at international scientific and/or professional events through its member delegates;
• Developing scientific projects during workshops, courses or scientific meetings;
• Publishing scientific studies;
• Providing specific inputs in health care strategies and public policies;
• Representing, promoting, and sustaining the scientific and professional interests and activities of the Society, at a national, regional, and international level;
• Developing research projects and programs in the field of infectious diseases;
• Developing and strenghtening partnerships with institutions in the field, in order to improve the medical practice and the medical services;
• Supporting the excellence in the field through certificates, prizes, scolarships, fellowships or other motivational leverages for exquisite scientifical and professional activities;
• Participating in activities that aim for enhancing the deontological quality of the medical act;
• Developing projects for the optimisation of universitary and post-universitary medical education;
• Organising – alongside with the rightful institutions – wokshops, specialisation courses, educational programs, and documentary studies.
